{"id":6696,"date":"2022-11-06T19:53:04","date_gmt":"2022-11-06T19:53:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.stl.org.uk\/?p=6696"},"modified":"2022-11-06T20:06:44","modified_gmt":"2022-11-06T20:06:44","slug":"khenpo-is-returning-this-week-to-lead-meditation-refuge-and-green-tara-initiation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stl.org.uk\/stl-staging\/khenpo-is-returning-this-week-to-lead-meditation-refuge-and-green-tara-initiation\/","title":{"rendered":"Khenpo is returning this week, to lead Meditation, Refuge and Green Tara initiation."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Before he flies back to India, Khenpo is coming by to see us again this week!<\/p>\n<p>He will be leading the scheduled Meditation sessions on Wednesday 9th Nov (7.30-9.00pm), and Thursday 10th (10-11.30am).<\/p>\n<p>He will also be leading two more special sessions on Saturday 12th at 2pm, and Sunday 13th at 6pm (replacing the schduled session).<\/p>\n<p>The Saturday session will be a refuge ceremony.\u00a0 This is an opportunity to become a Buddhist officially, so to speak, accepting the Buddha as teacher, the Dharma as the way, and the Sangha as your spiritual support network.\u00a0 If you wish to take this step, come while he&#8217;s here!\u00a0 It&#8217;s been 3 years since this was available at the centre.\u00a0 You will need a small cash donation for Khenpo, (usually \u00a310-20) in a white envelope, which is offered as part of the ceremony.\u00a0\u00a0 More info: https:\/\/www.stl.org.uk\/stl-staging\/resources-articles\/becoming-a-buddhist\/<\/p>\n<p>The Sunday session, which is instead of the published regular Sunday session, is a Green Tara, Vajrayana initiation.\u00a0 It involves being empowered with the mantra and sadhana for your own Green Tara practice.\u00a0 It is for Buddhists only &#8211; if you took refuge on the Saturday, or at any time in the past, you are welcome to take part. \u00a0 This also requires a donation of \u00a320.<\/p>\n<p>We hope to see you there, for a very special week at the centre.<\/p>\n<p>x<\/p>\n<span class=\"et_bloom_bottom_trigger\"><\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Before he flies back to India, Khenpo is coming by to see us again this week!
